Mekong Grill in Bremen

Good "Asian" food (by Germany's standards), comparatively cheap. The red curry could be less watery and redder. I got tofu and it was sour; I ended up picking it out of my dish, which was disappointing. My partner got the duck and the red curry portion was big and tasty. The spring rolls huge (ca. 20cm) and come with red chili sauce instead of fish sauce. There are much better places for pho and "Thai" curry in the neighbourhood at a slightly higher price point.

Small place but owner and employees are really kind and friendly. Food is delicious and cheap.

Great for a quick dinner. Pho Bo and summer rolls consistently good. Keep it up :)

I'm with the chef min from the mekong grill. I got a soup with beef served every 3 days.

Mediocre portions with a minimum of ingredients. In the soup (large portion, 7.80 euros) there were hardly any fresh vegetables and only a little chicken, in the main course there were 2 types of vegetable schnitzel and thin sauce with a little pale beef.

Classically old bistro with a taste-assimilated Inter-Asian menu. Cheap basic products are processed into various dishes in a very short time, the portions are large, the prices small. If you are looking for good or even authentic taste apart from salt and glutamate, you are wrong here.

Inconspicuous little restaurant, I think the atmosphere is great, the food is really great. I was really surprised.

Everything freshly prepared from high-quality ingredients in a wok and a hit in taste. Delivering consistent quality for so many years is top performance and worth recommending ...... AND vegan is also possible here!

Clearly who is looking for ambience is wrong here. But that's authenticity! Because whoever has traveled around and was in a street restaurant in Southeast Asia knows what it looks like. Garden chairs and plastic tablecloths! On the other hand, it is decorated like a royal here. The food is well prepared. The kitchen is open and clearly visible, which testifies to self-confidence and rightly so. The staff is a bit taciturn but you can overlook that.

The spring rolls were very tasty, but the pho was unfortunately a little under seasoned.

It is quite a good Imbiss. The prices here are quite reasonable. It is not fancy but for a quick bite you can not go wrong. It is often packed in the evening and sometime you have to wait outside for the table. My favourite appitizer is fresh spring rolls :>)

Forbo tastes like a Chinese herbal base, and it doesn't taste so much in noodles and plays separately from the soup. Bunbo only eats. Forbo 8.5 euros for big and 6.5 euros for small, only 8.5 euros

Five to ten years ago the food was better. I personally would not recommend this restaurant.

Best Asia food in town

The food was actually delicious and the portion was sufficient. The service was not very nice and had a bad day. In the evening, stomach problems started with me, which lasted for the next five days. Too bad, since the food was really good.

Very local Vietnamese food, will go back again

Wanted to go there but they where doing refurbishing work and the restaurant was closed. Did not update their Google Maps page.

I used to eat here all the time when I was studying at the Hochschule (2008-09). We got so much food, and we would take the extra home for later.

The phở was decent, although it didn't come with any garnishes, even though there is a picture of pho Saigon-style on the website (i.e., with Thai basil, bean sprouts, limes, etc.) I had wanted to order bún thịt nướng (room temperature rice vermicelli noodles with grilled meat and fish sauce dressing), which is hands down my favorite Vietnamese dish. I'd never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that doesn't serve it before I came to Mekong. They replaced this traditional Vietnamese dish with Indonesian noodle dishes for some strange reason. My favorite appetizer is gỏi cuốn/nem cuốn (non-friend rolls with shrimp and rice vermicelli noodles served with a spicy peanut sauce). Also missing from the menu. And of course, there was no Vietnamese coffee with milk (dark roasted coffee brewed on your table through a drip press and mixed with sweetened condensed milk). So, overall o.k. taste-wise, but lacking some pretty standard Vietnamese dishes.
